Opera Comes to Shelton 11-18-11

A night at the Opera, in Shelton no less, was a real treat as Bremerton’s Symphony Orchestra teamed with Mason County’s very own Anna’s Bay Chorale. The Bremerton Symphony Orchestra (Alan Futterman conducting) graciously brought a buffet of popular opera compositions to Shelton including Carmen’s Overture, Habanera, Les Dragons d’Alcala, Seguedilla duet, Votre toast or Toreador’s Song, & Aragonaise (George Bizet), Don Giovanni’s La ci darem la mano duet, Riposate vezzose ragazze/Viva la liberta, Madamina or Catalogue aria (Wolfgan Amadeus Mozart), Samson and Delilah’s Bacchanale (Camille Saint-Saens), Die Entfuhrun aus dem Serail’s Overture (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart), Il Barbiere di Siviglia’s Largo al factotum (Riochino Rossini), Faust’s Gloire immortelle, Avant de quitter ces lieux (Charles Gounod), Tannhauser’s Pilgrim’s Chorus, Die Walkure, Ride of the Valkyries (RRichard Wagner), and Turandot’s Finales from Act 2 and Act 3 (Giacomo Puccini).
