{"id":21515,"date":"2019-12-31T06:24:29","date_gmt":"2019-12-31T13:24:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/amicuscuria.com\/wordpress\/?p=21515"},"modified":"2019-12-31T06:24:36","modified_gmt":"2019-12-31T13:24:36","slug":"85yo-lady-murders-landlord","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/amicuscuria.com\/wordpress\/85yo-lady-murders-landlord\/","title":{"rendered":"85yo Lady Murders Landlord"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\">\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"zxx\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/1rnyJy2tyk\">pic.twitter.com\/1rnyJy2tyk<\/a><\/p>&mdash; South King Fire (@Southkingfire) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Southkingfire\/status\/1211657417445933056?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 30, 2019<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<strong>Cops say 85-year-old killed her roommate over eviction.<\/strong>\n\n\n\nFirefighters battled a fire at the same house in Federal Way, Washington, where an 85-year-old woman allegedly shot her two roommates and killed one because of fear of being evicted, police say.\n\n\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/q13fox.com\/2019\/12\/30\/firefighters-battle-massive-fire-at-federal-way-home-where-85-year-old-shot-two-women\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">South King County firefighters<\/a>&nbsp;arrived to a house fire in the 2000 block of SW 306th Lane on Dec. 30, according to a post on South King Fire\u2019s Twitter account.\n\n\n\nPolice also confirmed that it\u2019s the same address of the<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/q13fox.com\/2019\/12\/30\/firefighters-battle-massive-fire-at-federal-way-home-where-85-year-old-shot-two-women\/\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0shooting that happened two weeks ago<\/a>, Q13 Fox reported.\n\n\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenewstribune.com\/news\/local\/crime\/article238723128.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Beverly Jenne<\/a>, 85, is charged with first-degree murder and first-degree assault for killing Janet Oyuga and shooting Oyuga\u2019s sister on Dec. 19.\n\n\n\nAccording to charging papers, Jenne lived in the house for 40 years, but then it went into foreclosure and was purchased at an auction. Oyuga and her sister then moved in and allowed Jenne to live there.\n\n\n\nPolice said that&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.seattletimes.com\/seattle-news\/major-fire-at-federal-way-home-where-85-year-old-woman-is-accused-of-recently-shooting-two-people\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jenne left a note<\/a>&nbsp;saying she had to kill Oyuga because \u201cJanet is not a very nice person,\u201d the Seattle Times reported.\n\n\n\n\u201cI think she was getting ready to evict me and I\u2019m 85 and no place to go,\u201d Jenne wrote.\n\n\n\nCrews made their initial entry but due to the amount of damage they are unable to effectively search the entire house.  King County Fire Investigators are now in charge of the investigation.\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pbs.twimg.com\/media\/ENDbb2dU4AAHn1W?format=jpg&amp;name=medium\" alt=\"View image on Twitter\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\nOfficers found Oyuga and her sister with gunshot wounds and Jenne with an electrical cord wrapped around her neck, Federal Way police said.\n\n\n\nJenne is in custody with her bail set at $1 million and expected to be arraigned on Jan. 6.\n\n\n\nThe cause of the fire hasn\u2019t been released according to the Seattle Times.\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cops say 85-year-old killed her roommate over eviction.
