To be assaulted by an adult in my own community during a pandemic was traumatic,\u201d Lucas said, the Journal Sentinel reported.\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\n\u201cAgain and again, I am viewed not as a child but as a color,\u201d he added.\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\nRapkin later was captured on cellphone video in an altercation with 21-year-old Ithaca College senior Joe Friedman, who had been writing protest messages in chalk on the sidewalk in front of her home, the paper reported.\n\n\n\n\u201cBe better than this\u201d and \u201cI spit on a child. How dare you!\u201d Friedman wrote, among other messages, according to the outlet.\n\n\n\nShorewood resident Debra Brehmer on Sunday&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/debra.brehmer\/posts\/10219032055126998\">posted the footage<\/a>&nbsp;of Rapkin confronting Friedman, her son, and several other people who had joined him.\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\nFriedman, who was holding the camera, captured their argument over the spitting incident.\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\n\u201cYou spit on a child,\u201d he says.\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\n\u201cYou people are so incredibly stupid, it isn\u2019t funny,\u201d Rapkin responds. \u201cI spit on a man who attacked me.\u201d\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\n\u201cHe did not attack you. How did he attack you?\u201d Friedman says.\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\nShe then storms over to Friedman, saying, \u201cI said I was sorry, but when someone comes over to you like this\u201d \u2014 and appears to shove the young man in the chest.\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\n\u201cI am explaining how it happened!\u201d she says.\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\n\u201cYou just put your hands on me,\u201d Friedman says in response. \u201cThat is assault right there. Wow, I just got that on video, ma\u2019am.\u201d\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\n\u201cYou are f\u2014- bat\u2014\u2013 crazy,\u201d he adds as his mother says they will call the cops.\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\nAs she was being arrested in the incident, Rapkin allegedly kicked a cop in the groin, authorities said.\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/uD_7gcGb9fM\" width=\"642\" height=\"565\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n<!-- \/wp:post-content -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n\n\u201cThe victim in today\u2019s incident reported he was peacefully protesting on the sidewalk in front of suspect\u2019s home, when the suspect came out and engaged in a verbal altercation with the protesters,\u201d police said in a statement.\n\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:separator -->\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n<!-- \/wp:separator -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n\n\u201cThe victim reported the suspect then slapped both of her hands on the victim\u2019s chest and physically pushed him,\u201d they added.\n\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:separator -->\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n<!-- \/wp:separator --><br \/><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n\nPolice are pursuing charges of battery, disorderly conduct, battery to a law enforcement officer and resisting\/obstructing an officer.\n\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:separator -->\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n<!-- \/wp:separator --><br \/><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n\nMichael Maistelman, an election law attorney, has filed a complaint with the state Office of Lawyer Regulation asking it to investigate Rapkin for possible professional misconduct,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jsonline.com\/story\/news\/local\/milwaukee\/2020\/06\/08\/shorewood-leaders-call-lawyer-who-spat-student-disbarred\/5317979002\/\">the newspaper reported<\/a>.\n\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:separator -->\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n<!-- \/wp:separator --><br \/><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n\nMeanwhile, Shorewood schools chief Bryan Davis denounced Rapkin\u2019s behavior and praised Lucas and the other protest organizers.\n\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:separator -->\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n<!-- \/wp:separator --><br \/><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n\nThe incident \u201cexposed the horrific, overt racism that still exists in our community\u201d and was an \u201cappalling display of racial hatred,\u201d Davis told the Journal Sentinel.\n\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:separator -->\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n<!-- \/wp:separator --><br \/><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n\nHe called on the Milwaukee County DA\u2019s Office to also charge Rapkin with a hate crime because her behavior was more than just disorderly conduct \u2014 it was \u201cracial hatred aimed at disrupting a peaceful demonstration.\u201d\n\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:separator -->\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n<!-- \/wp:separator --><br \/><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n\n\u201cIf we, as Milwaukee County, are going to treat racism as the crisis it is, we must make sure that law enforcement and our criminal justice system look at these types of incidents through a racially motivated lens,\u201d he said.\n\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:separator -->\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n<!-- \/wp:separator --><br \/><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n\nOn Monday, Urszula Tempska, a neighbor of Rapkin\u2019s, said she believes the attorney acted out of fear when she left her car in the street, not knowing her shopping route would put her in the path of a protest.\n\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:separator -->\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n<!-- \/wp:separator --><br \/><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n\n\u201cI understand why everybody has decided that she is a conscious racist\u201d and \u201cjumped to the conclusion that she was there to stop the protest,\u201d Tempska told the paper.<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:separator -->\n\nShe said that based on conversations she has had with Rapkin over 15 years, she believes the suspect is \u201cnot a conscious racist.\u201d\n\n<!-- \/wp:separator -->\n\n<!-- wp:separator -->\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n<!-- \/wp:separator -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n\n<strong>Stephanie Rapkin, esq. goes full Karen on Black BLM protestor:<\/strong>\n\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:separator -->\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n<!-- \/wp:separator -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none;
