The bilking of taxpayers traditionally involves local municipalities (including the Pork), County Commissioners, City of Shelton, and the politicians who hand over public funds to the EDC (as well as frequently sit on its board of directors, e.g. Mayor Tarrant) without any oversight or requirement in law for competitive\/open bidding for professional services which may or may not have genuinely been rendered.
