Residents Try to get a Handle on Pork Graft, Abuse, Corruption

The incestuous pattern of cronyism, graft, corruption, favoritism and excess at the Pork is a long standing difficult problem in Mason County for citizens to control even with Commissioner Jack Miles on their side. The bilking of taxpayers traditionally involves local municipalities (including the Pork), County Commissioners, City of Shelton, and the politicians who hand over public funds to the EDC (as well as frequently sit on its board of directors, e.g. Mayor Tarrant) without any oversight or requirement in law for competitive/open bidding for professional services which may or may not have genuinely been rendered. Of course the politicians responsible for the largess are rewarded with campaign funds donated by EDC (a PRIVATE corporation) employees–a circular arrangement…your dime, their funding:
