Retired Shelton police officer and Mason County Commissioner Jerry Lingle was found dead this afternoon having apparently died in his bed sometime this morning of natural causes according to preliminary reports. Mr. Lingle was well liked in the community, having lived here much of his life. Recently elected as Commissioner, he assumed office in 2011 and was a leading proponent for better mental health care in Mason County.
