Army (26) of Cops Violently Subdue Black Man

This was May 13 at 3:30pm in the 135th St Harlem station of the B/C. Note the one arresting officer repeatedly telling the other to “relax.” The young man being arrested puts his leg up so they don’t slam his face into the wall. When [the photojournalist] turned the camera to catch the officers streaming into the station, two of them came from behind and one officer (Mancebo?) pushed [the photojournalist] out of the station and would not let [the photojournalist] turn around. Afterwards, 12 police cars were counted around the station.

This video shows a remarkable scene of police overkill in a Harlem subway station on the afternoon of May 13. What begins as two cops from the NYPD trying to handcuff a seemingly non-threatening black man quickly spirals into over two dozen officers flooding the station to arrest him.

The video opens with one of the two arresting officers repeatedly shouting, “Put your hands behind your back and stop resisting!” at the suspect, who they have pinned to the ground. The second officer, who looks extremely uncomfortable, gently asks his partner to “relax” several times.

The two officers then force the suspect—or, more accurately, the victim—to his feat and try to handcuff him up against the wall. But the suspect keeps planting his foot and hand on the wall and explains to the officers that he’s afraid they will slam his face into it. They assure him they won’t and then cuff him, at which point all hell breaks loose.

Around the 1:02 mark, two more cops come rushing in and literally grab the victim’s feet from under him, slamming his body to the ground as he screams “I haven’t done anything, I haven’t done anything!”

At the 1:30 mark, the handcuffed man is being held face down on the ground by all four police officers when another cop comes storming in asking his fellow officers “You guys alright?” as though they were the ones who had just been brutally attacked. Still, more cops trickle and then flood into the station until the victim is completely submerged under a sea of what looks like an angry lynch mob.

The photojournalist recording the incident on a cell phone is then forced out of the station, which has been surrounded by a dozen police cars outside.

The video ends with witnesses telling the cameraman that the victim was just “standing there” when he was arrested for “no reason”.

Can you imagine how difficult it would be to live in an environment where this goes down routinely? Make no mistake, the scene in the above video is common in certain NYC communities where people of color are disproportionately stopped, questioned, frisked and harassed as a matter of de facto policy. Even the slightest sign of resistance, like instinctively protecting your face from being slammed into a wall, could land you behind bars for “resisting” or even “assaulting” a police officer, a label which brings on a world of trouble.

Shelton City Council Passes Nudity Dress Code

The scene has been getting tense in Shelton, what with all the nudity, free love, and anal cleavages. The City fathers (and mothers…as well as those digging in to defend against an army of bikini clad baristas marching on our sacred churches, schools, day care centers, and espresso stands) have chosen to crack down on the wanton revelry before pool halls begin to appear in the neighborhood.

City Hall on a Calm Night

City Hall on a Calm Night

The Council unanimously agreed anal cleavages should not enter the City’s limits…probably because there are no 24/7 public restrooms anyway. Besides, public health can wait when public morals are at stake.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but getting to the bottom of the issue included a rather refined blueprint emphasizing the female breast and exactly how much of it should be legal.

The Milk of Human Kindness

The Milk of Human Kindness

There was some stumbling and pussyfooting around when it came to delineating just what kinds of breasts (female) were to be banned, how much, and under what circumstances.

In deference to the Council’s remedial education, the following results of scientific scrutiny should be brought to bare before further discussion:

The breast is the tissue overlying the chest (pectoral) muscles. Women’s breasts are made of specialized tissue that produces milk (glandular tissue) as well as fatty tissue. The amount of fat determines the size of the breast.

The milk-producing part of the breast is organized into 15 to 20 sections, called lobes. Within each lobe are smaller structures, called lobules, where milk is produced. The milk travels through a network of tiny tubes called ducts. The ducts connect and come together into larger ducts, which eventually exit the skin in the nipple. The dark area of skin surrounding the nipple is called the areola.

Connective tissue and ligaments provide support to the breast and give it its shape. Nerves provide sensation to the breast. The breast also contains blood vessels, lymph vessels, and lymph nodes.

More community input will be permitted this coming Monday evening at Shelton City Hall, butt the Council’s take?:

“If you’re wearing less than a bikini, you’re outside the bounds of the ordinance,” or so says Steve Goins, the City’s director of community and ‘development’!

“These laws would apply to everyone [except male breasts], whether it’s bikini baristas or someone walking down the street,” he continued.

The nudity dress code ordinance would apply to people in public in Shelton who must cover the following body parts in the manner prescribed/proscribed:

*  The male/female genitalia, pubic area, buttocks and anal cleavage.

*  The nipple and areola of the female breast, and all of the surfaces of the female breast below the areola and at least one-half of the surface of the female breast located above the top of the areola.

[It is not yet known whether Shelton City Police will be issued tape measures to determine the exact ‘limits’ of the law. Last reports were they were drawing straws for this assignment.]

Forbidden attire that doesn’t comply with these proscriptions includes: G-strings, pasties [men too?], T-backs [??], dental floss [this is getting gross], and thongs [bring sneakers].

City Nixes non-existent Bikini Clad Baristas

FEMEN Jih@dists Invited To Shelton

The designated ‘parts’ may not sport body paint, body dye, tattoos, latex [so much for birth control, but the Pope will LOVE this!], or any similar substance applied to the skin surface or which can be washed off the skin [again, not to worry as Shelton doesn’t maintain 24/7 public restrooms], or any substance designed to simulate, or which by its nature stimulates the appearance of the anatomical area beneath it.

Ah, but in their infinite wisdom, the sages of Shelton have created exceptions to these barriers to having too much fun all of the time. They include:

Acts of breastfeeding…even expressing breast milk [as long as done with a smile], plays, operas [Gilbert & Sullivan?], or other dramatic works “which are not obscene [like bikini clad baristas?] and are delivered to age-appropriate audiences”, classes [friends in low places], seminars [voyeurs w/money], and lectures held for “serious scientific or educational purposes”; and adult entertainment exhibited in LICENSED [hah!–in your dreams] adult entertainment facilities as regulated under city code. [Next to the tooth fairy]  Violations (too much skin/cleavage/paint/dental floss) are a misdemeanor…about as mean as it gets.

On 2-19-13, the City Council all agreed  to ‘temporarily’ ban [receding horizon/end of rainbow] adult oriented businesses [Catch-22], despite none having expressed an interest in setting up shop in Dogpatch. Thus, this ‘dress code’ is intended to keep the voracious bikini clad baristas at bay indefinitely, though me thinkest the Council doth protesteth too much.

Jasper, Texas police officers beating woman

by  – Mon, Jun 3, 2013

Jasper, TX – A southeast Texas town with a history of racial unrest on Monday fired two white police officers recently captured on video slamming a black woman’s head into a countertop and wrestling her to the ground.

“The amount of force used was abominable,” the woman’s attorney, Cade Bernsen, told Yahoo News.

The incident was captured by security cameras at the Jasper, Texas, police headquarters.

Keyarika “Sha” Diggles, 25, was brought to the jail on May 5 for an unpaid fine, according to Bernsen. He said she was was on the phone with her mother trying to arrange to get the $100 owed when Officer Ricky Grissom cut off the call.

There’s no audio on the video, but Diggles and Grissom were apparently arguing when Officer Ryan Cunningham comes in behind Diggles and attempts to handcuff her. When she appears to raise her hand, Cunningham grabs Diggles by the hair and slams her head into a countertop. The officers wrestle Diggles to the ground before dragging her by her ankles into a jail cell.

“She got her hair pulled out, broke a tooth, braces got knocked off … it was brutal,” Bernsen said.

Diggles was charged with resisting arrest for arguing with the officers, a charge dropped on Monday, according to Bernsen.

Cunningham, reached by phone Monday afternoon, hung up on a Yahoo News reporter. A message left for Grissom was not immediately returned.

The officers’ firing comes 15 years to the week after an infamous hate crime in Jasper, a town of about 8,000 people two hours northeast of Houston. James Byrd Jr., a black man, was tied to the back of a pickup by three white men and dragged for several miles until he was decapitated. The high-profile case triggered marches by the New Black Panthers and Ku Klux Klan.

Last year, a majority-white Jasper City Council fired the town’s first black chief after 16 months on the job. Rodney Pearson is now suing, claiming his civil rights were violated.

“It’s a different part of the world, man, it’s crazy,” said Bernsen, who’s also representing the fired police chief.

Jasper’s interim city manager confirmed the terminations, but referred questions about the Diggles case to the interim police chief, who was unreachable Monday afternoon.

“The more things change, the more they remain the same,” Jasper City Council Member Alton Scott said of the city’s racial troubles.

Scott obtained the video in the Diggles’ incident and turned it over to a local TV station after he heard that her written complaint against the officers was apparently being ignored.

“There’s nothing she said that could have justified what they did,” Scott said. “They are supposed to be trained professionals. They are supposed to be above that. It was inexcusable.”

After terminating the officers on Monday, the council requested that the pair be investigated for possible criminal charges. Bernsen said he hopes that probe is done by the FBI or state police.

“I don’t trust the Police Department as far as you can throw them,” he said.

(A)narchists V@ndalize Mormon Church

(A)ssaulting photojournalists, theft, petty treason (openly declaring war on the state and society itself), bilious proclamations that laws are inherently ‘oppressive’, that ‘rights’ do not exist, local street radicals have now focused their malevolence on Churches in a self professed effort to destroy civilization along with personal liberties. The Mormon Church on 1116 Yew Ave NE in Olympia was vandalized consistent with the following article which appeared on the Puget Sound Anarchists website:

Church Attacked In Olympia WA

Mon, 06/10/2013 – 2:46am

In solidarity with Steve, Kerry, and other grand jury resisters on the run, and in celebration of the annual day of solidarity with long-term anarchist prisoners, a big front door at a Mormon church in Olympia had its glass busted out and lock glued on June 10.

The Mormon Church, and churches in general are institutions of the systems of patriarchy, white supremacy, homophobia and hierarchy in general. We are against those who would tell us that we must submit to authority, whether that be “god,” the father, the state, or some religious leader.

For the destruction of every church, school, factory, courthouse, prison, police station, and border! Stay wild and free!

Additionally, the unmanned police substation on the west side of Olympia was vandalized in the wee hours of 6-11-13 by having its locks glued shut. The following article boasting of the incident was posted on the PSA website:

Olympia Police Station Locks Glued for June 11

Tue, 06/11/2013 – 4:12am

It’s easy and fun to attack! In the early hours of June 11 we glued the locks and a keypad on two doors of the westside police substation in Olympia. It really wasn’t difficult at all. With gloves, masks, and a couple tubes of superglue, we were able to render the locks inoperable. A little bit of superglue squirted into the keyhole goes a long way, and it’s quick and silent. Do you have a spare hour in the dark of the night? Well then you could do this quite easily too.

June 11 is the international day of solidarity with Eric McDavid, Marie Mason, and other long term anarchist prisoners. Eric McDavid is 7 years into a 20-year prison sentence for the thought crime of “conspiracy,” after being entrapped by a paid government informant, known only as “Anna.” Marie Mason is 5 years into a 22-year prison sentence for being involved in actions that damaged an office connected to GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) research, and destroyed a piece of logging equipment.

There are many important ways to support imprisoned comrades; tonight we chose to attack a symbol of state control in order to send a small greeting of solidarity and complicity to Marie and Eric. The police are an integral part of the same system that stole Marie and Eric away from their loved ones and keeps them in a cage. The police are the guard dogs of capitalism, which depends on constant expansion and the destruction of all that is wild. The police can lock in cages those who rebel against the ruling order or simply dream of a life worth living, but they can never lock away our rage.

Fuck yeah, wreck some shit!

love,

Nannygate: Prosecutor Dorcy Doubles as Complaining Witness

File:Vicodin5mg.jpg

“…two Vicodin pills belonging to the victim…” & “…was also missing some of her Tramadol.”

Can a prosecuting attorney also serve as the complaining witness in a criminal action? The law in Washington State says no, for the reason it is a conflict of interest, denies the defendant a fair trial or even the appearance of one, and presumption the jury would be confused by the conflation of the two roles of an attorney advocating for conviction as well as testifying under oath as a witness.

Beyond all that, Mike Dorcy is so well known in the County, after successfully running for Prosecutor, as to have an overwhelming, yet inequitable, credibility advantage against such a defendant, as appears to be the case brought as felony charges against local hometown girl, Emily Rose Worf, a 20yo graduate from Shelton High School. The underlying nuances make what might otherwise be a routine drug related criminal proceeding into something resembling Beauty and the Beast with National Inquirer overtones.

Charity & Mike Dorcy - 2003

Charity & Mike Dorcy – 2003

Hometown boy Mike Dorcy was elected as Mason County Prosecutor in 2010 when he ran against Monty Cobb. As the loser in this electoral contest, Monty was fired a few months later, though admitting he’d have done the same had he won. Dorcy ran on a platform of getting tough, while Monty opined win:win styles of justice could save taxpayers money and benefit the community at the same time through alternative sentencing programs. Cobb lost to a man intent on becoming the Rudolph Giuliani of Mason County–risking the community’s solvency in the bargain by shunning plea offers or alternative sentencing.

Dorcy benefited from the tendency of County residents to vote for the familiar in the rural community in which he’d been raised, attended Church with his family, went to school (Shelton High – ’97), courted, married, and worked for years in local law firms culminating with the prosecutor’s office under Gary Burleson (R). Monty’s legal background had been more varied and in depth, but spread over a wider geographic area, which proved to be a handicap in a provincial election.

The Dorcys soon had a son, Isaac, after their 2003 nuptials.

Isaac Dorcy

Isaac Dorcy

But small children need supervision. Both Dorcys led active community and professional lives. Enter Emily Rose Worf, a local girl who worked out regularly in the gym (Shelton Athletic Association) to stay trim and gorgeous, cleaned house, babysat to make ends meet, and had a genuine passion for life as a young adult.

Emily Worf @ SHS Prom

It isn’t known, yet, [but is now] what affidavits were filed sufficient to have Emily Worf charged with burglary, possession of drugs, and associated offenses. Prosecutor Mike Dorcy was quoted as justifying the video recording of her activities at/in his home, likely as an employer’s legal prerogative, thus avoiding violating Washington’s Privacy Act (RCW 9.73.030).  Fact checking through copies of filed court documents will be brought to bear as this story continues to develop.  It’s also known, through an unnamed source requesting anonymity, Dorcy was seen paying for Emily’s manicure at Lilly’s Nails in Shelton–casting some doubt on the nature of their ’employer:employee’ relationship and further clouding the issue of a conflict of interest.

Can Ms. Worf get a fair trial in Mason County under these circumstances when the department headed by the State’s complaining witness, the very one who furnished an incriminating video recording to the police, is the one prosecuting her? Allegedly, a 2nd Mason County prosecuting attorney is also counted as a victim/complaining witness. What *is* the relationship between these public officials, Ms. Worf, and the alleged drugs involved? Have gratuities been exchanged involving more than manicures? It wouldn’t be the first time public officials have been brought low by their libidos. It would, however, be the 1st time in Mason County a “he said:she said” contest was allowed to be criminally prosecuted by one of the parties.

[The fair trial issue appears to have been resolved with a recent change of venue to Lewis County.]

Rick Cordes, a Thurston County criminal defense attorney, is currently representing Ms. Worf.  Jonathan L. Meyer, the prosecuting attorney from Lewis County has been assigned as special prosecutor to this case (#13-1-00180-2). The level of his independence in the criminal proceedings is not known as yet. The venue appears to have been transferred to Lewis County from Mason County, currently–a decided advantage to Ms. Worf given the likely familiarity of any jury panel chosen from Mason County residents with the complaining witness(es). Links to the affidavit of probable cause and amended complaint are given below:

Emily Worf Probable Cause Affidavit

Amended Complaint

Prosecutor’s Affidavit of Probable Cause

Both sitting judges, Amber Finlay, and Toni Sheldon, have recused themselves from the case, admitting Ms. Worf cannot receive a fair trial (or the appearance of one) before them. Richard Adams, the judge pro-tem/commissioner currently presiding is past being able to parse such complex litigation for reasons such as his inability to consistently recall what day it is. In this reporter’s opinion, Prosecutor Dorcy, et al, is well advised to move for a change of venue to a county where Ms. Worf’s right to a fair trial can be guaranteed. Additionally, he should seek to have the prosecutor in THAT venue handle decisions and the litigation in this matter. What led to Mike Dorcy’s election should not be allowed to contribute to Ms. Worf’s conviction.

Obeying Big Brother & the Corporate State

British filmmaker Temujin Doran has released a new movie that is based on the book “The Death of the Liberal Class” by Truthdig columnist Chris Hedges. The film, titled “OBEY,” explores the rise of the corporate state and the future of obedience in a world filled with unfettered capitalism, worsening inequality and environmental changes.

Why White (A)narchists Get Away w/It?

Camouflaging themselves in the mantle of white knights errant for the homeless, the poor, the downtrodden, and the oppressed…even as advocates for indigenous people and ethnic minorities, self proclaimed violent street elements calling themselves (A)narchists destroy property, steal, openly declare war on the state, society itself, assault photojournalists–even activist groups sharing the same public venues in a punk culture extravaganza of chutzpah attacking the civil rights of others while insisting on their own or denying ‘rights’ exist altogether. Yet when confronted by the state’s security apparatus, they’re quick to call attention to them.

The fact is, the dispossessed and oppressed are almost never (save for the most mentally disturbed) found in the company of (A)narchists at their public demonstrations. The homeless, the poor, the hungry, the indigenous people are too busy (unlike these dilett@ntes) trying to survive and feed their children to engage in the privileged @ntics of the swells. Ever seen a skinny (A)narchist?

We are convinced that liberty without socialism is privilege, injustice; and that socialism without liberty is slavery and brutality.” -Mikhail Baunin-

Why are these privileged gratuitous vandals and thieving violent street thugs tolerated or treated largely as petty criminals rather than petty traitors? The following video clip reveals a clue by calling attention to the white privilege inherent in this punk milieu of dilettantes biding their time at public colleges in their effort to become as bourgeois as those they claim to hate. In the meantime, while damning YOUR attachment to ‘stuff’, these so called anti-capitalists carefully husband their own.

(A)nonymous H@ckers Unmasked!

Anonymous Unmasked

Deric Lostutter of Winchester, Ky., revealed on June 6, 2013, that he is a member of Anonymous.

In a letter posted Thursday on projectknightsec.com (a website run by Anonymous), Deric Lostutter, a 26-year-old from Winchester, Ky., revealed that he is a member of Anonymous. Lostutter was raided by the FBI after he and other members of Anonymous got involved in a rape case in Steubenville, Ohio, that gained national attention in late 2012. When two members of a high school football team in the city were accused of raping a 16-year-old girl, Anonymous members did not think the case was getting enough attention and leaked information about people they believed were involved.

This week, anticipating a grand jury indictment for a felony and two misdemeanor counts, Lostutter voluntarily revealed his identity to the world in hopes that the media and citizens who supported his actions would help him.

Most members of Anonymous remain unknown, but as the loosely organized group has gained fame, many members have drawn law enforcement fire — and lost their anonymity as a result. Here’s a look at seven other Anonymous members whose identities have been uncovered.

Jeremy Hammond

Jeremy Hammond, known online as “Anarchaos,” pleaded guilty on May 28 to violating the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act for his part in breaking into the network of geopolitical analysis company Stratfor Global Intelligence Service.

Hammond said he participated in the hack on behalf of Anonymous and its subgroup LulzSec. “I did this because I believe people have a right to know what governments and corporations are doing behind closed doors,” he said in a statement posted on his website. “I did what I believe is right.”

Hector Xavier Monsegur

Hector Monsegur, also known as “Sabu,” may be the most hated member of Anonymous. In 2011, after being fingered by the FBI, he betrayed fellow members of the Anonymous subgroup LulzSec by helping the FBI gather evidence to arrest them.

Monsegur is now facing up to 124 years in prison, though his sentencing has been delayed while he continues cooperating with federal agents.

Mercedes Renee Haefer

Mercedes Haefer, also known by “No,” is part of ‘Paypal 14,’ a group of hackers arrested by the FBI in 2011 for allegedly participating in a cyberattack against PayPal.

Haefer and the other members of Paypal 14 have remained in legal limbo for two years now. In May, they began negotiations for a settlement that could keep them out of prison.

Christopher Doyan

Known in Anonymous circles as “Commander X,”Christopher Doyan participated in attacks on Sony, PayPal, the Tunisian government and the county website of Santa Cruz, Calif. He was arrested by federal authorities and threatened with 15 years in prison in September 2011 for the attack on the Santa Cruz website.

But now he is on the run. Shortly after his arrest, Doyan jumped bail and fled to Canada through what he calls an “underground railroad.”

Barrett Brown

Unlike most members of Anonymous, journalist Barrett Brown has never tried to remain…anonymous. This self-proclaimed “spokesman” for the hacktivist collective was arrested in September 2012 and indicted on charges of “making an online threat, retaliating against a federal officer and conspiring to release the personal information of a U.S. government employee,” The Dallas Morning News reported.

Slim Amamou

In January 2011, Anonymous began ” Operation: Tunisia,” a hacktivist effort to assist Tunisian revolutionaries. Slim Amamou, an outspoken Tunisian blogger known as “slim404,” was arrested by Tunisian police working for the failing government.

Amamou was held in jail for seven days, but when the Tunisian regime was overthrown, he was hailed as a hero and made secretary of state for sport and youth in the Tunisian transitional government.

Dmitriy Guzner

Dmitriy Guzner, known by the alias “Aendy,” was fingered by the FBI in 2008 for attacking Church of Scientology computers. He was sentenced to a year in prison and two years of probation.

Graphic Video of Maine Torture Session

WARNING: Gratuitous State Sponsored Terrorism & Torture follow

(Parental Discretion Advised)

Many have read the macabre scene in 1984 of the torture in room 102 visited upon those who are disobedient to Big Brother. But we slap ourselves into relief that this description must be artistic license and the creative imagination of the author, George Orwell. The book closes with the sobering warning that ‘obedience’ to Big Brother is insufficient for the state’s purposes, that we are required to ‘love’ Big Brother. For those who harbor reservations about how far the perversion of America has descended, do not avert your eyes or ears from the following disturbing video clip of the torture of a Maine prison inmate:

Published on Apr 8, 2013
Captain Shawn Welch ultimately received a 30 day suspension for his conduct. Typically, (much like Rumsfeldt’s reaction to reports of torture at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq by U.S. Forces) Maine authorities are not investigating the torture and abuse of prisoners, but are investigating to find out who leaked this video to the press.

Excerpt from story written by David Hench of Portland Press Herald:

The Maine Department of Corrections wants to determine how the press obtained video and documents about a captain’s treatment of an inmate last year.

The video and related documents recount how Capt. Shawn Welch, an official at the Maine Correctional Center in Windham, used pepper spray on an inmate who was bound in a restraint chair, then left him in distress for more than 20 minutes.

Officers restrained Schlosser in a restraint chair so the medical staff could treat his arm, because he refused to go to the medical unit voluntarily.

When one officer pinned his head to the chair, Schlosser struggled and spit at an officer. Welch sprayed him at close range with pepper spray, called OC spray, from a canister intended to be used on multiple people at a distance of 18 to 20 feet, according to an investigator’s report.

Welch then refused to let Schlosser, who said he couldn’t breathe, wash his face for 24 minutes. A spit mask was placed over Schlosser’s mouth and nose, trapping the pepper spray against his face.
