Missing woman found dead in Mason County

A 52-year-old woman who was previously reported missing was found dead, according to the Mason County Sheriff’s Office.
Jenna Marie Kelly Allred was reported missing Thursday after texting her boyfriend and saying that she was going for a walk. She never returned.
Her car was found abandoned at a Green Diamond Resource Company gate on Southeast Lynch Road near train tracks Friday morning in Shelton.
Allred’s purse, keys and cellphone were inside the car.
MASON COUNTY, Wash. — A 52-year-old woman who was previously reported missing was found dead, according to the Mason County Sheriff’s Office.
Jenna Marie Kelly Allred was reported missing Thursday after texting her boyfriend and saying that she was going for a walk. She never returned.
Her car was found abandoned at a Green Diamond Resource Company gate on Southeast Lynch Road near train tracks Friday morning in Shelton.
Surveillance footage showed Allred leaving her home in her car Thursday around 11 a.m. Investigators learned her car was seen parked at the gate around 3 p.m. on Thursday.
The sheriff’s office said the clothing Allred was wearing didn’t appear suitable for long exposure to cold, wet overnight conditions.
Deputies confirmed that Allred had been found deceased on Saturday.
MCSO says it is unable to provide further details, as this is still an ongoing investigation.
UPDATE (11-4-22)
Upon followup investigation today, a Mason County deputy sheriff returned my call. When asked if his office had wrapped up the investigation, he demurred. He said they were waiting on the toxicology report. He stated they had no suspects and asserted they were aware of Jenna’s court history (DV). However, he declined to answer when asked if there was any evidence Jenna had been assaulted. He said there would be no further public announcements from his office and suggested contacting the county coroner’s office.
The Mason County jail had no record of the presence of any inmate named Allred, either now or recently. The prosecutor’s office had no information, presumably because the case had not been referred to them by the sheriff.
