A 35,000 mile maintenance checkup required a trip to the finest auto dealership conveniently located on the west coast, Toyota of Puyallup. The service is sterling and the purchasing experience in December of 2007 was the best. A 3 dealer-city swap yielded the desired truck model, color, and package on a Saturday following a phone request on Thursday to a staff salesman who accepted the word of a stranger he’d never met in arranging this extraordinary accommodation requiring a detour around the Lewis County flooded stretch of I-5 to retrieve the new truck from Portland in exchange for one obtained from a swap in Seattle. So it was that the gracious professionalism of that dealership had not dimmed in the intervening 3 years. A ride to downtown Puyallup was provided along with pickup service a couple of hours later when the checkup had been completed.
